First Generation Dreamer. Lover. Fighter. Susie loves intensified living, adventure and spontaneity. Always laughing, embracing change and coming up with new ideas, Susie keeps life exhilarating! She pirouettes, sails forbidden seas, gallivants the globe and does it in high heels! She has a powerful religion and it’s called Life. Dance makes her feel physical, strong and empowered so she equates Movement with Freedom. “Music is my diet & dance feeds my soul.” In 2003, she fell in love with salsa dancing and "Salsa Susie" was born. She learned from Alex Da Silva, the top choreographer from the hit TV show, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE and other Salseros. Addiction was an understatement as she taught salsa at the four top Dance Studios in Santa Barbara. Relishing uncertainty of life on the road, at 25 Susie packed her bags and surfboard to exotic-erotic Brazil. She wrapped herself around blue water, learned Portuguese 101 and danced Samba with the Brazilians. In 2005, she traveled to Argentina to learn Tango the authentic way....in Buenos Aires. In 2006, she was the first dancer to bring to lifts & tricks to the San Diego Salsa Scene by incorporating her signature lifts & tricks & flying caberat into her salsa dance routines.

In 2007, Susie traveled across international borders to compete, perform and teach. Susie & her partner was the first San Diego couple ever to represent San Diego at the 3rd ESPN World Salsa Championships. Susie is currently teaching Salsa all throughout San Diego to kids & adults. Susie also continues to specialize in Burlesque, Ladies Salsa Styling, Lifts & Tricks, Weddings and the Brides & Groom's First Dance. Her talent in choreography, instruction and performance enables her to teach Brides & Groom's the secret to getting the crowd on their feet with their First Dance. The beginning of 2008, Susie quit her 6 figure corporate job to fully dedicate her life to dance. It was a dream come true for her and she has never looked back since.

Today, Susie is the director, creator & choreographer of Ooh La La Dance Company based out of San Diego, California which is the home of her 5 performing dance teams: Cosabellas Pro, Cosabellas Amateur, Ooh La La Kids, The Hot Tamales Semi-Pro & The Hot Tamales Beginners. "I LOVE my dancers!" Susie started her own Dance Apparel Line called Ooh La La that include tanktops, leggings, jackets, pullover hoodies & dance footwear. Susie debuted her first instructional salsa DVD and is dedicated to the life of dance. In her spare time, she is a world citizen who travels the globe and loves spending time with her family, friends, bestfriend & lover, Justin and Puppy Dog, Jewels. Early in 2009, she teamed up with ever so talented San Diego native, Kris Babao to form a dynamic duo. Kris is an animal on stage & is the director of D.O.C. Nobody is better than him at his craft. In 2009, Susie brought Ooh La La Dance Company on tour to Turks & Caicos, Sydney, The Great Barrier Reefs, Bali, Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam on a dance tour. She is currently planning her 2010 Ooh La La Dance Tour to Greece, Croatia & Egypt.

Susie is currently collaborating & dance partners with Abel Pena, the 4X UNDEFEATED ESPN & MAYAN WORLD SALSA CHAMPION. She will be teaching & performing with Abel across the nation during 2010.
